Villa Maria is located in Vale de Centianes, Algarve, Portugal, situated between picturesque Carvoeiro and the small fishing village of Benagil.

This stunning villa is set close to the cliff tops. A 90 second walk and you have spectacular views for miles down the coast to Praia da Rocha and beyond to Lagos, overlooking the Blue Flag beach, Praia do Vale de Centianes. On this spectacular beach there are sun beds, umbrellas, parking, a lifeguard and Restaurant O'Stop with its amazing sea views. And all just a 5 minute walk away!

You can walk for miles along the cliffs in either direction enjoying the most stunning views of the ocean. The sea is turquoise, the sand golden, the sandstone cliffs are red and the sky is blue, making it all so relaxing and colourful and with beautiful birds.

Villa Maria has four large double bedrooms and bathrooms, three with walk in wet room/showers. All bedrooms have quiet air conditioning units (extra) with silent Hunter ceiling fans. There are Queen size double beds. All the beds are English and very comfortable. Every bedroom has its own hairdryer and one has curling tongs. In addition there are two baby cots. High chairs are also provided free.

The upstairs bedrooms open out to terraces with sea views and one downstairs bedroom has doors out to the garden and swimming pool. There is a pool shower, outside toilet and a Portuguese brick barbeque with chimney. There is also a table tennis. This 1990 German built villa has just been extensively modernised with double glazing and electric shutters. One press and every blind opens or shuts!
The bathrooms, bedrooms and fittings are all new and finished to a very high luxurious standard.

The kitchen is large and well equipped with dishwasher, fridge, chest freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and coffee machine. There are UK, German, French and Spanish channels on the satellite television system along with a good supply of German and English books.
The lounge television is a Samsung LED with a DVD player and Playstation PS3 (bring your own games). The lounge also has an ipod dock, free internet and Wii fit. The main bedroom has an LED television and freesat box.

From the top roof terrace you have extensive sea views reaching down the coast to Portimão and beyond to Alvor and Lagos. The plot, about 1200sqm, is surrounded by a wall and is laid out with palm trees, tropical plants and lawns – suitable for children. Villa Maria is the ideal holiday villa for the extended family. Please note the swimming pool is not fenced. There is lockable off road parking for two cars and garage parking is available at extra cost for prestige cars.

Area Information

In the immediate vicinity you will find a beauty salon, gym and a diving school. Banks and German and British doctors can be found in Carvoeiro. Nearby there are two water parks and a riding centre. Within 25 minutes you have pottery shops at Porches, the incredible marine park Zoomarine and the Algarve Shopping Centre at Guia with an English cinema. Cliff Richard's award winning winery Vida Nova, which is next to Algarve shopping, is well worth a visit.

In Portimão you can walk along the picturesque river and taste Portuguese cuisine, with excellent local wine, in one of the light and airy restaurants. Or take a boat trip along the coast to see the caves or watch dolphins. You could go to the new Aqua Portimao shopping centre, which has Primark, H&M, Mango, Springfield, Bershka, Massimo Dutti and many more shops. There are restaurants and cafes, ample car parking along with entertainment for children.

The pretty fishing village of Ferragudo is very quaint with small shops, galleries, restaurants and bars.

Vale de Centianes is one of those undiscovered places where you can have a quiet holiday, yet you are only walking minutes away from 14 restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. Nearby there is a small supermarket, a pizzeria and Helders Tropical bar. You can even have a take away breakfast!

The Rocha Brava complex is a five minute walk away with a selection of eating places including our favourite restaurant Rafael Alfanzina. Nearby is Farol’s, which overlooks gardens and pools. In the other direction you have Pizzaria Mona Lisa

If Golf is your sport the Vale de Milho course is less than a quarter of mile away. Quinta do Gramacho and Vale da Pinta are around a 15 minute drive. There is also scuba diving at the nearby Tivoli Hotel.

The Algarve has a light, cooling breeze during the hot summer. There are numerous beautiful sandy beaches with beach bars and restaurants within a 10 minute drive.
